Solar Tracking System
Abstract
Solar energy is a major renewable energy source, but the efficiency of solar panels depends on their orientation toward sunlight. Fixed solar panels cannot maintain optimal alignment throughout the day, which reduces their energy output. A solar tracking system improves efficiency by continuously adjusting the panel toward the direction of maximum sunlight. This project presents the design and implementation of a dual-axis solar tracking system using Arduino Uno, Light Dependent Resistors (LDRs), and servo motors. The system detects light intensity from different directions and moves the panel accordingly. The design is cost-effective, simple, and suitable for small-scale applications. The results show improved alignment and better performance compared to fixed solar panels.
